ABOUT MARK HEMMINGS
Mark Hemmings is a professional travel and street photographer, and his photography portfolio can be viewed here. Mark began his career in the late 1990′s when working on feature films and movies as a ‘stills’ and location photographer.
His work broadened to include international travel photography jobs which had him photographing in Asia and Eastern Europe. In 1999 Mark moved to Japan for a year to learn advertising photography, and that year proved pivotal in shaping his lighting style and how he approaches photography within the context of advertising.
In 2004 he developed his skills as a photography workshop instructor, teaching people how to create better photographs in such diverse places as Mexico, England, Japan, Korea, Hungary, and Romania/Transylvania. Mark’s current photo workshops and tours can be found on this web page, and he hopes that you will join him on one of the trips to Italy, Jerusalem, Caribbean Cruise or Japan. As a photography tour/workshop instructor, Mark’s desire is to impart technical and aesthetic knowledge to his participants, as well as offering a fun and dynamic international cultural experience.
Mark is also an author, having written a book titled “iPhone Photography For Dummies” available worldwide at local bookstores and on Amazon websites. He is also a book editor currently tech-editing various Wiley Publishing books.
Mark’s professional skills also extend to the TV, and film business. His latest television series for the Bell TV1 channel is called “Discover Smartphone Photography!” In which he acted, directed, and edited. Mark regularly does video editing for various clients, being well-versed in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Avid.
Over the years Mark has received many requests for great looking but inexpensively priced framed prints. To that end, he has placed some of his favourite travel photos on his PicFair page, which are available as normal prints, framed, and wrapped versions.
Mark offers almost daily free photography lessons to the public, which can be viewed on his Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube profiles. His paid photography courses have been very popular worldwide, and include iPhone, DSLR, video editing and photo editing subject matter.
